Parliament challenges Sept. 12 coup generals despite opposition

One of the most critical articles of the government's package of amendments to the Constitution, a remnant of the Sept. 12, 1980 coup period, was passed on Tuesday in Parliament despite a lack of support from the opposition, which previously vowed to support any effort to eradicate the legacy of the coup.
