Claim: Phones of Milliyet daily wiretapped illegally

A former senior police officer being tried over charges of aiding drug manufacturers has claimed in testimony in court that the National Police Department was illegally wiretapping several individuals and institutions in Turkey, including the headquarters of the Milliyet daily.
